Why your cosmetic isn't working (even with good ingredients)?

There's something I constantly observe that can completely change how you understand your skincare routine.

Many times we buy a product because it contains vitamin C, retinol, hyaluronic acid, peptides... We focus on the "claim" ingredient, its percentage, if it's high, and assume that's the most important thing.

But there's a key factor that's almost never considered: just because an active ingredient is in the formula doesn't mean your skin is actually benefiting from it and that it's working.

Skin has its own “filter”

Your skin is designed to protect you and prevent anything from penetrating. And that means it doesn't just let anything pass through. That's why many ingredients, even if they are good and in high concentrations, simply remain on the surface.

And of course, if they don't reach where they need to go... they can't perform their function and give you the expected results.

It's not just what it contains, but how it's formulated

Here's one of the most important and least known points. It's not just about what ingredients a cosmetic contains, or even how much. It's about how it's formulated. Because if it's not, you're very likely to not see results because it remains on the surface.

Many factors influence this: the texture, the stability of the active ingredient, and, above all, how it's designed to penetrate the skin.

Liposomal technology (and why it makes a difference)

The encapsulation of active ingredients with liposomes: something that is rarely explained outside the professional sphere. And no, it's not marketing. It's applied science.

When an active ingredient is liposomally encapsulated, it doesn't float freely in the formula. It's encapsulated within small vesicles formed by a hydrolipidic membrane, very similar to the structure of our own cells. This encapsulation is called a liposome.

And what does this imply?

  • The skin recognizes it better; it's more familiar
  • It penetrates more easily
  • It remains more stable and doesn't oxidize as quickly
  • And it's released progressively into the skin, prolonging its effect and improving its efficacy.

In the end, it all boils down to something very simple: the active ingredient reaches where it needs to go, it works, and results appear.

How to choose your cosmetics better

It would be interesting to ask yourself this question: Are you choosing your products based on price, trends, or real effectiveness?

Many times we think we are saving money, but in reality, we are investing in formulas with active ingredients that our skin doesn't need and that, furthermore, are not optimized to work.

Your skin doesn't need more promises. It needs well-designed formulas that truly work and contain active ingredients that act where they need to.

Because the difference isn't just in the ingredient. It's in how it reaches your skin.
